On the Avionics Power panel (right side), set the INS to NORM and flip all other switches to ON to power the MFDs. Open the Quick-Start Guard
Press the Jet Starter (JFS) . Watch the RPM gauge on the right side of the right MFD.
At 20% RPM , click the throttle (or "ident" cutoff switch) to initiate fuel flow. The engine should stabilize at an idle of roughly 60% RPM .
The F-16 is notoriously difficult to slow down. Maintain a consistent Angle of Attack (AoA) and use the Velocity Vector on the HUD to aim for a 3-degree glideslope (approx. 500 fpm descent).
