Founded in 1996 by former Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the race was inspired by the Tour de France to promote Malaysia as a world-class tourism destination. While it once spanned 10 days, it has evolved into an covering over 1,200 kilometers across Peninsular Malaysia. Status: UCI ProSeries (2.Pro).
