The word mainit means "hot" in Filipino, and the site is famous for its natural pools with varying temperatures.

Shaykhi Academy was launched by a group of highly qualified Quran Teacher in 2019 to serve those Muslims who are far away from Islamic countries by relating them to the Quran which would help them nurture their faith while in the comfort of their homes.
