The project started in early 2020. With their Quadra world tour postponed, the band members—Andreas Kisser, Paulo Jr., Derrick Green, and Eloy Casagrande—began hosting weekly "Sepulquarta" livestreams. They used this digital space to discuss their history, answer fan questions, and, most importantly, perform re-imagined versions of their classic tracks from their respective home studios.
